Full Description
VitalCheck Wellness, on behalf of Photon Medical Group, is seeking a culturally sensitive and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide onsite health service and care. Patient care will be provided in-person and virtually at one of NYC Health + Hospitals’ Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRCs) making a difference in the lives of migrants.
Responsibilities
- Provides medical services at the scope and level of an LPN to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
- Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within the scope of licensure and regulations of state employment or practice.
- Performs duties in a safe manner and follows the corporate safety policy.
- Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act.
- Responds to a variety of inquiries of varying complexity by using knowledge and an understanding of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding information (HIPAA, PHI, PII), including maintaining confidentiality of all company proprietary information.
- Maintains professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, candor, privacy and confidentiality of all company proprietary information, meetings, communication, and documents, including implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization.
- Performs duties in a safe manner and follows the corporate safety policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contract requirements.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited Nursing school.
- Active and unrestricted LPN license in New York.
- 2-3 years of experience as an LPN.
- BLS or CPR certification.
- Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
- Must be able to commute to New York City and Boroughs.
