Ad Hoc Workplace Needs Assessor (Remote)

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Workplace Needs Assessor to provide expert insights and assessments on an ad hoc basis. This role will support employees by identifying and addressing barriers they face in an office environment. In this ad hoc, remote role, you will provide assessments and tailored recommendations to support employees with disabilities and those experiencing barriers at work to enhance workplace productivity and foster inclusion. Your expertise will enable employees to thrive by creating accessible, supportive working conditions that meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct remote assessments to evaluate barriers impacting employee success
    • Provide personalized recommendations for adjustments to eliminate barriers such as assistive hardware, software, or coaching
    • Collaborate with the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team to develop practical, tailored solutions
    • Create clear, actionable reports outlining findings and recommendations
    • Stay up to date with accessibility standards, assistive technology trends, and inclusive workplace practices
    • Offer advice and guidance on reasonable adjustments in alignment with best practices
    • Provide ad hoc consultancy on accessibility challenges with quick response times

    Requirements:

      • Proven experience providing workplace needs assessments
      • Knowledge of WCAG standards and disability rights laws (e.g., Equality Act 2010, ADA, etc.)
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees sensitively and effectively
      • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, actionable reports
      • Familiarity with assistive technologies and tools to enhance productivity
      • Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis with short notice
      • Flexibility to support assessments in different time zones
      • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPACC, WAS, SpLD, or equivalent)
